After three weeks of vacation eating and drinking I arrived back into San Francisco with a goal of ratcheting back my eating habits and injecting more healthful options into the daily intake. So I am eating smaller portions and trying to feed myself about six times per day.
I must admit I did try in earnest to give up my glass or two (or in some cases three) of wine each evening, but it did not happen.
For the last week I have been waking up in the morning and making myself a delicious soy milk shake. It is very easy to make and very healthy. I grab a banana, peel it, break it up into small pieces and drop it into a large glass. Then I pull about a 1/2 cup of blueberries out of the freezer (I keep my blueberries in the freezer in lieu of putting ice into the mix). Once the blueberries and banana are in the glass I add about 1 1/2 cups of soy milk and then use my hand blender to blend everything together.
